VENTURE 2025



Each spring, the MFA Design community at SVA gathers to share what we’ve spent the year building: design ventures rooted in purpose, experimentation, and personal conviction. Venture is not just a presentation of outcomes, but a moment to reflect on the journeys that shaped them.

This year’s event branding was developed from a concept I proposed, one of four ideas shared by students, centered on the diversity of thought and lived experience that fuels our individual paths. The selected direction uses a ribbon as its central visual metaphor. Fluid and ever-changing, it captures the meandering, unpredictable routes we’ve taken to arrive at this day. The ribbon loops through themes, cultures, and curiosities. It speaks to how our ventures emerged not from a single origin, but from constant motion, shifting contexts, and learning through friction. It reminds us that while our work may differ in subject and scale, there is a shared undercurrent. We are all navigating forward, led by questions only we could ask.
